- Complete the full 10- or 16-week program (approximately 40 hours per week), with no time off from start to finish (excluding weekends and Lab holidays).
- Workforce Development & Education (WD&E) interns cannot take classes (including online) while participating in the program.
- Complete entrance and exit surveys.
- Make a poster presentation and submit a six- to eight-page research project report on the outcome of SULI-related research activities.
- Attend all scheduled events, including lectures, tours, and group activities.
- Complete all Berkeley Lab safety and procedural requirements.
- Must behave in a responsible and professional manner. Interns must adhere to the Ethics and Conduct at Berkeley Lab Requirements and Policies Manual (RPM).
- When acknowledging WDTS support, please use the following statement: “This work was supported in part by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Office of Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientists (WDTS) under the Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) program.”
- Complete all assignments and deliverables including intern/mentor photos.
