A research team led by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) has demonstrated tiny concentric nanocircles that self-assemble into an optical material with precision and efficiency. Ting Xu, a VFP mentor, was the senior author on the study that was published in the journals ACS Nano and Advanced Materials.

VFP mentor models future climate change
A recent study co-authored by Dan Martin, a Berkeley Lab computational scientist and VFP mentor, combines a large number of computer models with statistical techniques to explore the land ice contribution to sea-level in the 21st century arising from the world’s glaciers and the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets.
