A team of Foundry staff and users synthesized a two-dimensional material that can be used in supercapacitors. This collaborative work, led by Organic facility staff scientist Jian Zhang, is highlighted in their paper recently published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS).

Physicists from Berkeley Lab and UC Berkeley recently published in the journal Nature an image of electron ice sandwiched between two semiconductor layers. The study’s lead author was Feng Wang, a research scientist and former BLUR mentor.
