Internship Preparatory Workshop

Workforce Development & Education (WD&E) is excited to announce our upcoming Internship Preparatory Workshop. This two-day event will provide participants from U.S. colleges and universities across the country with an immersive experience on-site at Berkeley Lab in Berkeley, California. Participants will get a sense of the breadth of research, world-class scientific instruments, and culture at Berkeley Lab.

Funding

WD&E will cover the cost of travel to and from Berkeley Lab and two nights of lodging at the Berkeley Lab Guest House (single occupancy) for those accepted as workshop participants. Meals will be provided while the workshop is in session.

Audience

Eligible participants are freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors who are attending U.S. colleges and universities full-time, post-baccalaureates (i.e., recent graduates), and graduate students.

Program Benefits

Workshop participants must apply for one of the following programs: the Community College Internship (CCI) is open to community college students, and the Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) is open to undergraduates (including community college students), post-baccalaureates, and graduate students. Both of these programs offer students and recent graduates the opportunity to become part of a scientific research team for a summer, fall, or spring term.
