Faith Dukes, Ph.D., Interim Director — Interim Lab Education Director (LED) for Department of Energy Office of Science, Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientists (WDTS) programs — She provides strategic guidance and support to the WD&E office and partners with team Managers and Special Projects Analyst to maintain and implement undergraduate, graduate, and faculty programs. Laleh Coté, Ph.D., STEM Education Program Manager — She develops, manages, and evaluates programs, conducts STEM education research, writes grant proposals, supports partnerships, and facilitates outreach events. Interns can email her with questions about program events, resources at the Lab, attendance at conferences or field work requested by the Mentor Group, and time off for (invited) graduate school visits. Lab staff can email her with questions about teaching and mentoring approaches (or challenges), intern and mentor expectations, and intern participation in conferences, meetings, and field work activities. Nakeiah Harrell, Internship Program Manager — She manages undergraduate, post baccalaureate, and graduate internships, supports WD&E initiatives and partnerships, manages and coordinates logistics for faculty programs, and facilitates outreach events. Faculty Collaborators can contact her for questions about deliverables and program events. Lab staff can contact her with questions about the application process, selecting an intern, mentor deliverables, online safety training, and work mode. Brieanna Wright, Internship Coordinator — She coordinates logistics for internships, outreach events, and the “WD&E Alumni Speaker Series,” and provides weekly support for undergraduate, post-baccalaureate and graduate interns. Interns can contact her with questions about assignments, deliverables, tours, events, and program expectations. She can answer general questions about how to access resources at Berkeley Lab. Julio Jaramillo, Special Projects Analyst — In partnership with Noah Schwartz, he supports program participants with health and safety-related questions, ergonomic equipment.
