Growing up in Ethiopia, Tadewos Getachew witnessed a lack of access to clean drinking water. “I wanted to build a career that would help solve water problems,” he said. As an intern in EESA, he is learning to estimate groundwater withdrawals for California’s drought-parched Central Valley.
